This metal health app usability test is conducted to evaluate the app Mind Ease Mental Health in terms of its usability or how easy it is to navigate the app for the users. The series of tests use various materials and approaches: questionnaires, interviews, and walkthroughs. The tests aim to examine and measure the following characteristics based on the experience of the user:
Learnability – This refers to how easy a new user can learn and accomplish new tasks and processes the first time they visit the app.
Efficiency – This refers to how quickly a user can complete tasks and processes after several visits on the app.
Satisfaction – This pertains to the enjoyment of the user as regards the design of the app.
Memorability – This pertains to how easy for the user to remember the app and visit it again after a long time of not using the app.
Errors – This refers to the number of errors committed by the users of the app, the severity of those errors, and how easy for the user to recover from their errors.

The tests were conducted from January 2, 2023, to January 24, 2024. Each test was conducted between 15 and 30 minutes. By 4 users
Overall, the results of the tests are favorable with respect to the overall concept, user experience, functionality, and interface of the redesigned App.
Test Assessment
Walkthroughs – This test involves an expert, usually the designer or programmer who develops and designs the app, sets up a usability test situation, in which he walks through himself or leads the members and other interested parties to go through the app, similar to a user. This test is appropriate to determine if the functions and visual aspects of the app are working perfectly as experts are working, observing, and testing firsthand the app. However, walkthroughs alone are not sufficient to determine if the app is user-friendly. Hence, other usability tests followed.
Survey – Conducting a survey is adequate for determining if the user had learned something during his visit on the. It also determines if the user is satisfied with his experience on the app. The survey involved having users answer a questionnaire after they visit the app. Most of the questions center around what the users consider as the best function of the app, most confusing part of the app function, and most difficult app aspect to understand.

How would you describe the app to your friends, families, or colleagues?
Would you recommend the app to someone?
Interviews – After answering questionnaires, the same users are interviewed. Interviewing users is appropriate as it helps assess how well they understood the functions of the app and gives the software testers more idea on their experience using the app. Interview questions usually center around the strengths and weaknesses of the redesigned app and the users’ opinion on, and recommendation for the improvement of, the app’s functionality and interface.
Test Results
After the completion of the tests, the team collected and analyzed the results. The following are the conclusions the team agreed upon after thorough analysis of the test results in form of percentage:

61% of the participants completed the tasks with regard to the concept of the app
80% understood the concept and core of the app.
73% enjoyed the app’s concept.
User experience
83% of the participants completed the tasks relating to user experience.
89% said they had great user experience after visiting the app.
Functionality
48% of the participants completed the tasks that involve the functionality of the app.
72% were satisfied with the functionality of the app.
23% had difficulty using certain functions.
Visual presentation
65% were satisfied with the app’s visual presentation.
43% found flaws in the app’s visual presentation and provided suggestions for its improvement.
Overall, the functionality and visuals of the app are excellent, however the following were discovered to be needing immediate solutions during the test:
When opening the home page, some users experienced the app is confusing them automatically redirecting them to the homepage of the app.
When applying to a therapy session to some items in the form are not reflected in the list and they didn’t know what to do
Some users cannot go back from the pages what makes them confused.
Recommendations
Based on the lessons learned from the web usability test, the following recommendations are made:
The colors of the buttons must be changed to something darker to differentiate it from other functions.
